Read me first

Use this page when you only want to know: did USD strengthen or weaken? against yen, euro, francs, etc. — without juggling quote directions. For audit trails and Yahoo-exact %, keep using report_fv.html.

Why raw FX tables confuse

Two quote directions. Most rows show foreign per US$1; the euro row shows USD per €1 — the inverse idea.
Same + sign, opposite story. A positive % can mean USD stronger (more yen per dollar) or USD weaker (more dollars per euro), depending on the row.
Color on the raw % follows the ticker, not one “USD up/down” rule.

This page: one number, one meaning

Every cell below is USD strength vs that currency: positive = dollar gained (stronger); negative = dollar lost (weaker). The euro column uses the same rule as the others (we flip the raw EURUSD % so it matches).

Rule: + = USD stronger vs that currency · − = USD weaker · same for every row.
